The Apogee and the Entropy was originally released on MT6 Records in the summer of 2006 under the moniker Pat Grant and the Blown Fuses. The album was recorded in the original MT6 basement studio on 5th Ave in Carney, Maryland during the fall and winter of 2005 with Alex Strama engineering the recordings. Some additional overdubs and mixing were completed in the spring of 2006 with Grant and Strama handling the mixing board. Most of the musical contributions on the recordings came from players who were members of other bands on the MT6 label at that time including Heroin UK and Cavemen. The album was digitally remixed and remastered by Rich Feinstein at Cone of Silence in Baltimore in March 2018.
