about

C. Perin - "The album represents the convergence of sound and philosophical exploration on being and emptiness. The fundamental influences come from the rock genius of Pete Townshend and Syd Barrett while the spirit and emotion of the music is influenced by the emptiness that transcends our own eptistemology."

P. Grant - "Those were light times to say the least. We were living in the Poconos during our last semester of college, driving down to west Philly to attend class at St. Joe's U a few days a week and kicking around the mountains on off days looking for stuff to do besides working on our senior thesis for philosophy. The winters can be long up there and it gets dark and cold pretty fast. We set up a makeshift studio to pass the time. There was a digital station with a desktop program and some electric guitars, a Fender ac50 style amp, a Sears catalogue 40W amp in a tiny case with built in tremelo and two Casio keyboards in the study and we made a makeshift vocal booth in the bathroom and recorded some of the acoustic guitars in there as well. Oddly enough we did all the overdubs alone on our own tracks which kinda says a lot about the heart that went into these tracks. It's basically a small collection of songs by both Cisco and me, sort of like two eps fused together into one album. Sometimes we were there to collaborate, mainly on helping engineer the other's session, other times we just worked alone when the other wasn't home. There certainly does seem to be some lyrical or thematic thread to it on the search for spirituality although that definitely wasn't intentional looking back on it. In a way it was like our joint senior thesis the way we imagined it."
